Today, 2 p.m.
The scene: Anika, Reni and daddy building a club house in Anika's room. Anika is determined to make a small doll blanket fit over two large pillows. She keeps trying, to no avail. Reni disappears into the hallway. The linen closet thunks open. He returns, carrying a large blanket, and hands it to Anika. Daddy helps drape the blanket over the pillows. "Nice job, Reni," he says.
"Yes," Reni says. "I'm a genius."
