New Car!

We have a new (to us) car! The previous owners lived in Taos and actually took if off-roading and stuff. Unless we have this car when Reni is a teenager, I think its exciting days are over. But I do feel like driving this thing means I officially live OUT WEST. I mean, I could fit a cow in the back! Or just park my stroller there. Whatever we happen to need to transport. At the moment, actually, there are about a dozen bags of steer manure from Home Depot in there. On a side note, please remind me to buy an air freshener when I get groceries later today.

Most importantly, however, we have a bona fide seat for Grandma. No more squishing in between car seats! (boy, we really knew how to treat guests, huh! Sorry Mom!)

Anika is in love with this car; in fact, she loves any car. She is her father's daughter, after all. We spent several hours in the dealership, which were not the whining horrible-ness that I expected, even though part of it overlapped into nap time. No, this child ran around admiring all the cars (Oooooooh! I like it! It pretty! Anika ride mama dada drive!), counting tires, spinning office chairs and leaving a complimentary cookie trail behind her.
