We'd been suspecting that Albuquerque would have an expiration date for us at some point, as the schools are sub-par, the weather is dry and allergy-inducing (and almost unbearable for Anika and me), and the kids' eczema just seems to be getting worse. Also, it's a smallish town far away from family and viable employment. It's been a lovely place to call home for the past four years (pinch me while I wax cliche about how time flies) but it's time for this family to ride off into the sunset in another locale.
Which locale is still up for grabs, as Armando is looking to re-enter the corporate world after 7 years of owning his own business and I am planning to find a part- or full-time job as well.
