Can I get a one-way ticket to Tahiti?

So here is Life as Mom to Ani and Reni the past few days:

- Reni is teething.

- Ani is teething.

- Reni is fighting sleep (I knew the good sleeping thing was too good to be true).

- Ani is fighting sleep (nothing new here).

- Reni screamed for four full hours yesterday and I could not set him down or set myself down for the entire day until said screaming stopped and he finally collapsed.

- Ani screamed on and off while Reni screamed, because screaming is apparently contagious

- Ani is unable to sleep through screaming.

- Reni is unable to sleep through screaming.

- I have consumed so much coffee and chocolate that I can't sit still anyway, much less sleep. Although I think that, if given the chance, I could sleep through screaming.

- I take that back, because for some reason the sounds of your own children screaming changes the chemistry in your body and makes you bat-shit crazy.

- I was only slightly bat-shit crazy before all this screaming started.

- They have moved into a nice little pattern that goes something like this: Ani whine, Reni start crying, Ani wants my lap, Reni wants my lap, my lap is tired, Ani meltdown, Reni meltdown, repeat.

- I. HATE. TEETHING.

- It is slightly windy, the workers always leave the doors open a crack, and my house is covered in a thin layer of sand. This also makes me bat-shit crazy.

- Allergies on overdrive. If I wanted to get rid of allergies I should've moved to Phoenix. All the Southwest is not the same.

- Sneezing wakes up a kid who has finally fallen asleep after hours of screaming. I am officially bat-shit crazy.
