Zoo had fun with the grandparents? Zeez kids!

There are several things etched in my memory from the wonderful week-long Grandparent visit.

  • The first is Grandpa playing alligator tag with the kids at Wild Lime Park. We stopped there on our way to Anika's art class, and all three kids were laughing, jumping, and stomping around Grandpa as he roared around the playground.
  • Playing at the zoo's new Everglades exhibit. Lots of cool artifacts, alligators, sprinklers, and a slide through the otter habitat.
  • Grandma helping the kids with homework. Infinitely more patient than I usually am, and I think she even had fun.
  • Grandpa playing games with Roman. These two had a lovely time babbling back and forth, and playing with Roman's favorite toys: cars, trains, and the dishwasher. They also colored and were probably discussing the meaning of life when I wasn't listening. They are buddy-buddy.
  • Roman climbing up on the chair to give Grandma hugs and kisses while she was helping Anika come up with vocabulary word sentences.
