Here they are waiting for Santa. Expectations were high.
Reality was, of course, a bit different. All good with the older two, who gave Santa (obligatory?) hugs and then posed perfectly for the photo they knew mom wanted for Christmas. (They're good that way).
Roman would only edge close enough to grab a present.
And here is the toddler before he started screaming. Ani is waiting for the inevitable.
Santa tired of us rather quickly. At one point he lowered his beard to drink from a bottle of water. I hope he didn't see me roll my eyes. I don't want coal in my stocking or anything, but this guy could have done a better job keeping the magic alive. Or, I dunno, I guess screaming kids and greedy older kids and a spread of cookies for guests that you're not allowed to touch because screaming kids and greedy kids would make me question the magic of the season, too. Who knows.
