Splish-splash and jump-jump

It took him about five or six days, but Roman figured out how to work the toilet paper roll. Right into his mouth. He likes to splash around in the toilet water first and get the paper nice and wet.

He genuinely looks bewildered with my OMG EWWWWW reaction, and is indignant when I'm trying to fish the gummy paper out of his mouth and close the toilet lid. Which I have taught Reni to lift up, mostly successfully, and which I now have to teach both kids to leave down. I'm trading pee on the floor and walls and shower curtain and my own bum when I have to go for a baby not covered in toilet water. Fair trade, really.

In happier news, Anika can now jump rope. She doesn't actually own a jump rope (they were immediately used as ropes to tie around legs or necks or link pieces of furniture together, so they mysteriously disappeared from our household eons ago).  So she's been practicing with a rubber snake. She's getting pretty good.
