Magic

Kids grow up so fast, and I have these moments where I think, there is only a finite number of times I will hear this little voice before it becomes a bigger kid voice, or these little feet that I am tickling are growing right before my eyes, even though I can't see them growing they are, just the same. And this makes me sad. Happy to be experiencing these things, sharing in the lives of these little people, but also sad that I have to let them go, little by little, every day.

Can you tell I have two in school now? Pass me the tissues!

One thing that I never ever in a million years want to forget is Anika's laugh. Her happiest-time-in-the-world laugh, the one that sounds like it's made out of bubbles and fairy dust and baby puppies and rainbows. We were at the playground yesterday and we finally caught it on camera.

Enjoy, because before you know it she will be a teenager. Indeed, there are moments already where she seems five going on fifteen. The other day she picked out scarves at the store. Scarves! She put away a toy in favor of scarves. Pink with cheetah print, no less.
