WWF in the House

Reni has decided he wants to start competing in wrestling matches with his sister.

He gets a twinkle in his eye, flashes a big grin, and ambles over to her as she sits on the couch flipping through books or lays on the floor watching Disney Junior's Octonauts on her iPad or while she plays in her room, pretending to be Captain Barnacles saving Doc McStuffins and Baby Sister doll from the evil shark monster. She hears him chortling to himself, and looks up and giggles back. Then he goes in for his first move - a body-slam that sends them both laughing onto the ground. Then they laugh and laugh and laugh until a) someone starts whining; or b) there is a screech and someone starts crying; or 3) there is a THUNK and someone starts wailing.

Alas, it's always when they're having the most fun that the ouch factor appears.

And yet this doesn't stop Reni from pursuing this wrestling game any and all chances he can get. I'm not sure what started this, since he's never wrestled with anyone else before and as far as I know he's never seen it done before, either.

What's ironic here is that Anika's preferred game, CRATH (Chase Reni Around the House) is not enjoyed by Reni in the least. When he sees her coming toward him, arms out like a zombie, he starts that "pick me up already, woman!" wail and snuggles into my chest as if she had physically harmed him by the mere suggestion of the game.
