I won't smile for the camera, mom

We have made several attempts to capture Reni's smiles on camera, and every time he's smiling up a storm and I switch on the camera, he just looks at me like I'm crazy and have imagined the whole thing.

At least I can capture the cuteness that is Reni sleeping:

And his first experience on the play mat, which was less than stellar (again, we got that look that says, 'eh, whatever, I'm not that impressed.') What does it take to impress kids these days, anyway? Holograms of Elmo beaming out of my cell phone?

Also, if you've noticed, Reni is going a bit bald. We are salvaging some spike on the top, but it's getting harder and harder to hide the fact that that thick, dark hair is history. Let's hope he isn't bald for as long as Anika was.
