Well, our little one is finally starting to show some real interest in food, other than something to play with and spit out. For the past two days, she's actually eaten ALL of what I've given her at lunch, and wanted more. I'm hoping that this continues, because her feasts at the all-night milk bar are really wearing me down. She is still not a breakfast person, but she may get that from her dad: it's a rare day when he consumes anything other than coffee before 2 p.m.
And in case you were wondering, here is what butternut squash and black beans cooked Venezuelan style look like when you're wearing them as an organic facial:
You might not believe it, but she did actually eat more than she wore in the end. And it did creep a bit more up on her forehead, but by that point it was all over me as well and I wanted to spare the camera.
When she's hungry, she lets us know. Usually she just saddles up next to the pantry and starts helping herself. She knows which are her snacks and which aren't, and she's usually tip-toeing to reach something that hasn't been purchased at the Toys R Us marketplace.
