I'm loathe to bring up Christmas when we're not even finished with Halloween, but what else precedes "my two front teeth" ??
Anyway, Ani will have those long before Christmas, because they're already pushing through, side-by-side, just like her bottom two teeth a few months ago. Luckily, this time she's handling the pain much better (as are mama and dad), as she seems to have gums with the consistency of quicksand. Honestly, one day the teeth are there, the next, oops, back in again! Those things really have to work to come out and see the light. As of this morning, however, we have two slivers of two razor-sharp teeth making their way through.
I see weaning in our near future.
In other news, mom has a herniated disk (ah, what's that about getting old?) which makes picking the babe up quite the painful experience. She does love to move along with me while I do the exercises prescribed by the chiropractor, though, and laughs every time I moan and groan and make my way to the floor for another round of cobra pose.
We are very excited because the Schultz grandparents arrive tomorrow evening, which means the next four days will be filled with tourist activities, gluttonous meals, and lots of hugs and long conversations. We can't wait.
